Our corona update will be taking a break and won't happen again until Monday, 28 December. Frohes Fest everyone!
But can I get immunised too?
300 soldiers played doctor this week or, better put, patient, to test the procedures and construction in the Arena, which is usually an event and concert space but has been repurposed as an immunisation centre. It will be the first centre to open and will begin operations on Sunday. Like all good parties, the vaccination is initially invite-only.
Corona has sparked yet another record – the number of letters written to the German Santa, who apparently lives in Himmelpfort. The town north of Berlin, post code 16998, was picked as his home by a handful of kids in 1975, according to newswire dpa. This year the post office reportedly received 320,000 letters. Last year 294,000. Is Santa at the top of the immunisation list?
