Youth killed, man injured in Saturday knife attack
An argument evolved into a deadly stabbing late Saturday. Police are now hoping surveillance cameras can provide key information.

Berlin-Police are evaluating security camera footage from businesses in Hackesche Markt as part of an investigation into a deadly knife attack late Saturday that left a 13-year-old dead and a 22-year-old in serious condition, according to information obtained by Berlin Zeitung. Both victims were of Syrian descent, police said without indicating the significance of their nationality.
At least one camera captured a clear picture of the assailant. Police Sunday said they were searching for a 45-year-old balding man with a grey beard.
The victims and the man were part of an argument that erupted in a tunnel between James Simon Park and Monbijou Park at about 10.40pm on Saturday. The tunnel has reportedly been the location of many altercations in the past.

An emergency doctor and several paramedics tried in vain to resuscitate 13-year-old Mohammed A, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The 22-year-old was taken to hospital and is said to have suffered a stab wound to the neck.
Forensic specialists collected evidence until sunrise Sunday and the body was taken for an autopsy. The 7th homicide squad is leading the investigation and have called for witnesses to contact them directly (030 4664 911 777 or any police station).
